Our wooden garden sheds provide a reliable and attractive solution to all of your garden storage needs.

Tanalised wood (Pressure treatment)

Pressure Treated Timber on wooden sheds provide many years of trouble free service. Our treated tanalised sheds have been pressure treated with an approved wood preservative which protects our garden sheds from decay and/or insect attacks. The preservatives are pressure impregnated into all of the timber used for our wooden sheds and will provide protection for a very long time.

Q. Why should I choose a tanalised shed?

A. It is recommended that sheds are treated to preserve the quality of the wood and increase the longevity of your garden building. Choosing a tanalised shed will save you the hassle of having to coat the shed with creosote yourself. A tanalised wooden shed will be protected against the elements, garden insects and prevent decay providing a weatherproof protection lasting a long time. A tanalised shed is ideal for enclosed spaces where self treatment would be difficult. Once your shed has been constructed, tanalised sheds give you piece of mind as its base will not need to be re-treated.

Q. Can I Paint a Tanalised treated Garden Shed?

A. Yes, Tanalised treated garden sheds can be painted like normal untreated potting sheds.

Standard wood (Dip treatment)

With standard wood sheds, the timber is just dipped in preservatives. We recommend you should re-treat the standard sheds within 3 months and every further 12 months with an oil based preservative.

How to Prepare for your Shed!

As with any structure it is important to provide a firm, level and square base for your new garden building. Without a suitable base your building will be unstable and deteriorate rapidly. Base preparation need not be elaborate and two simple alternative methods are suggested below. Other materials can be employed, whatever method you choose, it is important that the end result is above all firm, level and square.

Slab Base

Providing the proposed site is not subject to regular flooding, your new building can be set directly on to a concrete pad or slabbed area as shown. If laying slabs, firm up the sub-surface and bed slabs into sand, gravel or sand and cement dry mix.
